Patrick Ta as a beauty brand isn’t the most well-known one out there – but it should be. With a stunning range of products, including silky smooth blushes and lipsticks, Patrick Ta’s range should be a part of everybody’s makeup collection. However, like all cosmetic companies, there are products that aren’t for everybody, so let me take you through the ones that I love, as well as the ones that aren’t my personal favourites…

Invest: MONOCHROME MOMENT VELVET BLUSH
Patrick Ta’s Monochrome Moment Velvet Blushes were the products which made me fall in love with the brand. Coming in four beautiful shades, there’s an option for everybody. But its main selling point is the formula, which is buttery smooth and firmly pressed, which lends itself to be appropriate for all skin types and skin concerns. Without the presence of an overly-powerdy texture, the formula doesn’t exacerbate texture or lift coverage from foundation and concealer. My favourite shade is ‘She’s Seductive’ which is a gorgeous browny-rose.
Invest: MONOCHROME MOMENT SILKY LIP CREME
I never thought that I was a liquid lipstick person until I came across these Silky Lip Cremes. With a huge amount of pigmentation and a silky smooth texture, they can both be worn as a luscious cream or a demi-matte stain, with the latter being my preference. Unlike many liquid lipsticks on the market, these don’t feel dry, and they also don’t cause your lips to look dry either. My only criticism of the product is the shade range. With only four shades, they all fall into the light to light-medium category, and so aren’t necessarily going to work on everybody – regardless of whether a lip liner is worn or not. Given how amazing the formula is, I’d expect Patrick Ta to increase the collection in time. My favourite shades at the moment, however, are ‘She’s Unapologetic’, a light neutral pink nude, and ‘She’s Independent’, which is more of a mid-tone neutral pink nude with a hint of brown.
Invest: MAJOR GLOW LIP SHINE
This product lives in my handbag – it goes with me everywhere. With an ultra-hydrating, non-sticky formula, this gloss is the perfect product to have on you at all times for a quick fix. Given its shimmering quality, it adds a little bit of glamour to what is a very basic makeup product. My go-to shade is ‘She’s Expensive’, purely because it’s clear and it goes with absolutely every makeup look you could possibly come up with.
Not My Favourite: MAJOR HEADLINES MATTE SUEDE LIPSTICK
When it comes to matte lipsticks, I’m very picky. I don’t want them to be too dry, I don’t want them to exacerbate texture or settle into the fine lines of my lips, and I want them to be as smooth as they can possibly be. Unfortunately, while the beautiful deep blue-red shade That’s Why She’s Late is absolutely stunning, the colour Oh She’s Single, a peachy nude, does everything I don’t want a lipstick to do. It’s important to note, though, that I do have particularly deep creases in my lips, so lipsticks tend to settle anyway, but I found that this formula settled particularly badly, which caused the product to look patchy and unflattering.
Invest: MAJOR GLOW SOFTENING LIP MASQUE
If you suffer with dry lips, this product may be your magic answer. It’s by far the most effective lip balm that I’ve tried, and, trust me, I’ve tried a lot. With a thick and ultra-creamy texture, the hydration it provides lasts and lasts and lasts throughout the day. I particularly love to wear it overnight as a treatment. Its only downside is that I wish it came as a squeezy tube, as currently it only comes in a pot which requires either a brush or your fingers to get the product out. Other than that, for me, it’s perfect. Just watch out for the mint sensation if that’s not your thing.
It Depends: MAJOR GLOW ALL OVER GLOW BALM
If you want to give your body an all-over glow, then this product is amazing. With a non-sticky and fine formula, you can quickly apply the balm without fuss, especially when you use Patrick Ta’s Kabuki Body Brush. However, for me personally, I don’t love this product as a highlighter on the face as it can cause foundation to crack.
Invest: PRECISION LIP CRAYON
Generally lip liners are designed to look like a standard pencil. While this helps to create a sharp and perfectly defined outline, it can be a bit tedious when it comes to covering the entire lip with product evenly. Patrick Ta’s Precision Lip Crayons have been designed with a rectangular shape, meaning you can outline and fill-in your lips in one go. Super simple and easy, and it comes in a variety of gorgeous shades.
