PILLOW TALK by Charlotte Tilbury
Pillow Talk is (in)arguably the most iconic lipstick to ever exist. Coined as the perfect pink, it truly is a staple for everybody to have in their makeup collection, as it doesn’t only compliment so many different makeup looks, but so many skin undertones too. Now that thankfully the Pillow Talk range has expanded to include deeper tones for deeper skin, everybody has the option to experience this cult classic product in the most complimentary way for them.
VERY VICTORIA by Charlotte Tilbury
Like Pillow Talk, Very Victoria is also a part of Charlotte Tilbury’s ‘Matte Revolution’ range. However, while many people would choose Pillow Talk as their favourite CT lipstick, for me, Very Victoria takes the top spot. In fact, I could go as far as saying that if I could only keep one lipstick, it would be this. If you love a mauve or brown undertone to your neutral lipsticks, you really should give this one a try.
SUPERMODEL by Charlotte Tilbury
As a rose with a subtle brown undertone, Supermodel won’t be classed as nude or neutral for many people. However, it’s as close to being my exact lip colour as I’ve ever found in a lipstick. Plus, it’s a part of the Matte Revolution range, which is by far my favourite lipstick formula – so what’s not to love?!
COVER STAR by Charlotte Tilbury
Yet another Matte Revolution CT lipstick! Described as a light apricot nude, I wasn’t completely confident that this shade would suit my complexion. However, given that it’s a buildable formula and it isn’t too warm, it’s a very flattering light-toned nude. I couldn’t be more pleased with it.
DANCEFLOOR PRINCESS by Charlotte Tilbury
The final Charlotte Tilbury lipstick in my Top 10 is Dancefloor Princess, which is a part of CT’s Hot Lips 2 range. With a K.I.S.S.I.N.G formula, it has a creamy texture and is a better option than Bitch Perfect for when I’m wearing cooler toned eyeshadow. I also absolutely adore the packaging – it feels and looks so special, and because of that, any lipstick from the Hot Lips 2 range will make a gorgeous little present.
SHE’S UNAPOLOGETIC by Patrick Ta
Next we have She’s Unapologetic by the one-and-only Patrick Ta. While this liquid lipstick isn’t as long-wearing as others on the market, if I had to clear out my entire collection and keep only one liquid lipstick formula, it would be these Silky Lip Cremes. They’re incredibly pigmented and comfortable, and I love how I can wear them as a Demi-matte stain. I’ve used the shade She’s Unapologetic, a light pinky neutral nude, to death, and I believe it will be a part of my collection for years to come.
SHE’S INDEPENDENT by Patrick Ta
The other shade I love from the Silky Lip Creme range is She’s Independent, which is a light-to-mid-tone pinky neutral brown. While I recognise that doesn’t sound like the prettiest colour on the planet, I can’t get over how much I love wearing it. It flatters a lot of different makeup looks, and I often mix it with She’s Unapologetic to create an ombre effect.
ANNIVERSARY by Huda Beauty
Moving on to Huda Beauty, I really enjoy both the matte and the cream glow versions of her Power Bullet lipsticks. Anniversary is a part of the matte range, and while I find that I prefer to wear a lip balm with the formula, I really like the finish it has and how it feels on my lips. Without a balm, these can be a little difficult to apply, but nonetheless Anniversary is a beautiful everyday nude, particularly for fair skin tones.
HUSTLA by Huda Beauty
The Huda Beauty Cream Glow Power Bullet lipsticks are potentially (from what I’ve tried so far) the best cream formula I have ever come across. I cannot get over how incredibly easy they are to apply, how beautiful they look on the lips, and how comfortable they are to wear too. Fuss free, stunning shades and a fab finish, I couldn’t recommend this formula enough. As I’ve only tried two shades so far, Hustla, a mid-tone pinky brown, is my favourite at the moment.
VIEVE by VIEVE
Finally, let’s talk about Vieve, a beautiful light nude Modern Matte lipstick with a pink undertone from Jamie Genevieve’s brand, VIEVE. When I first tried the Modern Matte formula, it was right when VIEVE first launched late last year. I had absolutely no idea what to expect from the brand in terms of formulation and style, but was so thrilled to find out that these lippies are so beautiful on the lips and are really lovely to wear too.
