All opinions stated on torivale.com are my own and may change throughout time and with further experience. I pride myself on being an honest, thoughtful and reliable person, and I’ve never and will never be paid or enticed to speak highly of a brand, product, issue or cause, if that isn’t my true feeling. Of course, we all have differing opinions to varying degrees, and I respect if your opinion is contrasting to my own – I kindly ask that this courtesy is given back to myself, as well as to other readers on the site and to people, companies or organisations featured or mentioned within my articles.
In Learning Together, I talk openly about the challenges I’ve faced and how I feel at the current time, as well as touching on social-political issues. These topics are open for kind and thoughtful discussion, and that’s something I encourage. I hope that I never cause offence, as that is not my intention, and I believe that we should all be allowed to learn from one another in a safe, respectful and friendly environment. All comments and any generalisations within my posts are based on my personal experience, that of my family and friends, as well as/or studies, frameworks of understanding, information and real-life stories from non-fiction books, interviews, documentaries, articles and professional discussions. I’m highly mindful of not taking on a topic, or stating opinions regarding an issue, that I don’t believe I understand thoroughly or have researched enough. If you’ve read some content that has inspired you to take positive action in your life, please only do so responsibly and if you’re comfortable progressing forward with your decision (for example, choosing to re-sit a year of education to improve grades).
ALLERGIES & SENSITIVITIES
As someone who has reacted to many products myself, please remember to carefully check the ingredients of the product(s) that you’ve been inspired to purchase after reading one of my reviews before buying and using it. I always recommend patch testing new products – especially those of a liquid consistency – on the inside of the wrist and on the neck for at least three days before proceeding cautiously to the face.
Regarding food, if you are allergic/sensitive to any of the ingredients in the recipes, please don’t hesitate to contact me and together we can see if there are any good alternatives to use so you can join in with the fun. Or, if you have a great idea for an alternative ingredient, please let me know.
PHOTOGRAPHY & IMAGES
Unless stated otherwise, all photography is my own. These images are copyrighted and never to be used without clear credit. Unless you are the brand whose product is being photographed (and the image is only being used on social media), I request kindly: Full permission must be granted, and terms and conditions must be met, for any images to be used for professional purposes and/or within paid content.
RACISM, ABUSIVE COMMENTS & DISCRIMINATION
My aim is for torivale.com, as well as my social media accounts, to be an actively anti-racist and anti-homophobic environment, which also strongly opposes any other form of abuse, hate speech and discrimination. While I hope I won’t have to, any comments of an abusive and/or discriminative nature will be deleted as soon as is possible.
CREATING A POSITIVE, CALM & RELIABLE SPACE
As someone who has experienced anxiety in the past, it’s essential for me that torivale.com is, and continues to progresses forwards as, a safe, calm, positive and welcoming area on the Internet. While I talk about serious topics, my aim is to make education stress-free and something we do all together as friends, and balance it’s heaviness with everyday things we all enjoy, ranging from makeup to food, and much, much more.
In saying this, it’s important to me that torivale.com is known as an anti-bullying platform, and any comments of a mean nature will be deleted as soon as is possible.
Currently, I do not use affiliate links.
ADVERTS & GIFTS
Currently, as my blog and following is so small, I do not do any advertisements nor am I gifted products from brands. Occasionally, I’m gifted products from family members, and I’ll do my best to make it clear which products these are when reviewing.
